1) Local Food Efforts

$300 to help Salt Spring Abbatoir training program.

$100 for Christmas dinner at Fulford Hall.

2) International Efforts

$1000 (from poster sales)– to SOLID (Salt Spring Organization for Life Improvement and Development) – to improve life in South Africa.
$500 (direct donation from Apple FEstival) to SOLID.
$390 for Solar Cooker project in Africa.
$270 for project supporting local silk weavers

3) The Rex Welland Memorial Apple Festival Bursary.

$750 – K’sana Wood Lynes-Ford (Graduating Student 2017 at GISS)
$400 – Wendy Gilson – Testing Health of Local Honey Bee Colonies.
